Float Therapy

Not many people know about float therapy, but it’s been around since 1954. The idea is relatively simple, though it can sound confusing at first. Essentially you’ll be floating in a pod of water with no outside noise stimulus.

You begin with a floatation pod that has no more than 8 - 12 inches of water inside. Now you may be thinking to yourself that it’s impossible to float in water so shallow. Despite the shallowness of the water, we supersaturate our pristinely clean water with Epsom salt -- so you float with ease on the surface of the water.

Once you’ve entered the pod, you can either close the lid for a soothing sensory deprivation experience or leave it open. The pod is also equipped with a light that you can turn on or off, depending on your comfort level. From that point on, all you have to do is focus on your breathing and floating effortlessly. With a lack of outside stimulus, your brain is allowed to rest and heal while your body also gets to enjoy weightlessness. Most float sessions are 60 minutes long

Red Light Therapy

Red Light Therapy (RLT) can have many benefits. RLT helps feed the cells inside your body. With all those cells charged up, it is believed that your body’s natural healing and recovery abilities become easy during and after treatments. This is done by exposing your body to a low level of red light which is similar to infrared light. We cannot see infrared light, but your body does feel it as heat. Heat is considered an excellent tool in healing and recovery. Another proven benefit of RLT is that it can reduce skin wrinkling and acne.

It is important to note that RLT is perfectly safe. The red light is not at all similar to the lights used in tanning beds. RLT therapy does not expose your skin-damaging UV levels of rays.

To expose your skin to red light, a lamp, laser, or other device is used. RLT is still relatively new, and many discoveries of its benefits are still being made.

Infrared Sauna

If you’re tired of traditional saunas that either use air heated with rocks, heaters, or steam, then perhaps it’s time you try an Infrared sauna. Rather than the air around you being heated, with the use of this therapy. This stimulates natural responses in the body, such as sweating and increased heart rate.

Continued infrared treatments can have such benefits as detoxification, pain relief, supports healthy blood pressure, muscle recovery, and improved relaxation. With these physical benefits, it’s easy to see why treatments can also tremendously influence stress and mental fatigue.
